Beautiful day, and beautiful week ahead!
It was rainy earlier today, but that didn't deter from how beautiful it was.
Got out of ASL-1 class a bit earlier than usual as it was our midterm today...and I walked the looong way to the bus stop. There were birds all over, chomping up worms and bug tidbits brought up/out by the rain. And the birds I didn't see were still happily chirping their songs.
The breeze was barely blowing, and the temperature (while definitely not warm) was comfortable for the clothes I had on...so I meandered, and smelled some roses (the same ones I stop and smell everyday on the way to school) and tried to figure out where the luscious smell of lilacs was coming from. I'm going to have to go hunting around tomorrow before class and see if I can figure out where they are, so I can add them to my "walk past everyday" routine.
My weekend was boring but good, and I'm anticipating the rest of my week to be busy and slightly hectic but good. How has your day been? Good, I hope...and I hope everyone is getting out and enjoying everyday just like I try to do!

I've been as busy as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest!
Cut over ten inches of my hair off a month ago and donated it to locks of love. The picture is a couple weeks old, but I just got it re-trimmed so it looks exactly the same! I'm rather liking the short hair. What do ya'll think??

I'm in college everyday (Monday - Friday) and it's great - but I am so busy! I am taking ASL-1 as one of my classes (ASL-2 in the fall) and I dare say I'll be quite fluent before long. I am already able to have a conversation quite decently.
Well that's all for my holiday update. Hope everyone is have a good Memorial Day and took some time to really remember what it's for!

Finally, time for a mostly proper blog entry...and a picture, of course. *winks*
I quit smoking Jan. 22 - technically I guess I quit smoking the night before, but the 22nd was my first 24 hour day with no ciggy, so that's what I am calling my quit date. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops (and blog about it) the day I did it, but I wanted to give it some time. 15 days is enough time, I think. ^_^
I'm in school right now, and will start college (hopefully, if all the financial stuff goes the way its supposed to!) full time at the beginning of July. I had a client ask me if I was still going to be "working" once I started full time. Ummm, yes - I'm going to need to have fun even more then! It'll prolly' only be clients I've seen before or new clients with references -- I don't think I've have either the time nor the inclanation to be screening in newbies...but now any newbies reading this know ahead of time, right? *snickers*
Let's see...what else? Still plugging along, dutifully trying to learn ASL myself. I do fair, considering it's something I've been picking up in dribs and drabs, but I can't for the life of me remember what the letter 'q' is half of the time. I've come to the conclusion that I need someone to teach me one on one -- I just think I'll understand it more that way. I've poked around on the "interwebs" *snorts* and found a lady in GR that offers one on one lessons for a reasonable fee, and once I see how a full load of classes is, I may just give that a go. Maybe as a late birthday pressie for myself.
I went to Boston (well a city right outside Boston, but let's not dither about that, shall we?) overnight last month and had a fantabulous time. I've gotten a third chapter ALMOST finished in my book that never gets worked on because I ignore it to write short stories...or, you know, live life and work and such. I am getting paid to take pictures of people! I am leaving in an hour to take some family pictures, and I love that both the things I do for jobs (this and photography) are both things I adore 95% of the time! How lucky am I, seriously?!? And I'm going to college for another job that while I may not love as much as those two things, I am passionate about it, and that's just as important to me.

*giggles* I really am far too easily amused. So, I promised an update, and I will give it. Went to Boston, had a fabulous time, I hate air travel, had to put my mums dog to sleep on the 13th which was hard, I've been trying my hand at photography, I'm now offering "unpublished" specials in GR (not for photography though *winks) so contact me for details if you're in the area - or you want to be *laughs*, dealing with family stuff, lusting after the new nextel phone the i880, and I'm slowly trying to flesh a short story out into a book. *takes a deep breath* Now on to a meme which will give you a bit more information you may or may not want to read. ^_^
