How Do You Handle References, Ladies??
Yes, I have ALWAYS been 'reference friendly'. In the past 3 years I have happily given out references without a problem..Unfortunately many Ladies do NOT check them..but, hey, thats a totally different thing. If a Lady feels she only needs to KNOW who the gent has Seen, and feels she doesnt need to contact her, hey, who am I to argue, right?
That said..Im curious as to how Ladies handle this situation?
In the past week alone I have gotten 5 reference requests..Nothing more than "Have you seen this guy? Is he LE? Is he safe? He wants to see me tonight"...And this request came from....??? I dunno!!! She didn't give me any of her info!!
NOW..if the request came from a Lady I Know, it would have been FINE. But these Ladies email me..NO introduction..no link to their site, nothing. Am I actually Expected to give out a reference to just ANYBODY? Are you SERIOUS???
Safety starts with the Lady Seeking the Reference. It's pretty simple:

I need to 'verify' the Provider before I can verify and vouch for the prospective client..NO..Im not a mind reader and I have no idea who you are, unless you tell me.

Wow..Has It Been THAT Long?
I haven't been here for almost a year! Yeah, I get here to read now and then, but haven't had the inclination to say much. I KINDA do now, tho. Things have been quite busy here, in a Good way. Great job (yeah, I still have a "Real One"!) and a teen who just seems to be on autopilot. Lots of 'mothering' NOT needed these days. *sigh*
Ive been scouring my past blogs..gotta love the 'search' feature. I was contacted yesterday out of the blue, and asked, quite bluntly, if I had written some bullshit story about someone who'd been arrested..Just some stupid nonsense I had no idea what theyre talking about. I know I never wrote ANYthing about said chick, cuz Id never have Reason to. Im sure she's cool..We've been posting on the same boards for a couple of years now, but I dont KNOW her. Least of all, wanna Write about her. Some sad azz bitch who doesnt have enouygh biz feels the need to pass MY name in a conversation 'I saw it in BJs Blog'...WTF? No, ya Didnt! Well, I straightened That shit out. In the 4 years Im Providing, I have never had a Board Mod contact me privately and ask if a rumor was true. You people have nothing better to do? I think I have become way too settled in my life here on The Chesapeake Bay...Life is good, NO ONE bothers me, and I love the Military Guys I deal with. Some pretty cool chicks out my way too!
I have a few 'projects' Im working on. Trying to sharpen my computer skills. Im such a wanna be geek!! I KNOW Im not gonna change the world, but..you can check one out. Its all about Marketing and Networking.

A Place of My Own....Life is Good...
Yup, I did it! After 6 mos living with family, I worked my ASS off and got my OWN PLACE! Mind you, it's not the Trump Plaza...it's a small place, GREAT location! I worked some loooong hours at my 'real job' to get here. Im sitting here now, with my coffee and a cigarette (no, havent quit yet...)looking atound in AWE..it's MINE. ALL MINE and no one is gonna come in here and take it from me. I don't have much as far as 'things'..the place is kinda empty, but...what I DO have is soooo special to me.
In the past few months I have come to realize I have a Truly great friend...Jenna. Damn, girl, once I figure out how to use this 'space age' toaster oven, I'll call ya! Let's not even discuss the iron..Im still waiting for "Rosie" from the Jetsons to flip open the ironing board!
I know I don't get here to contribute much. After some serious thought, I have decided to back away and stay with folks who aren't as judgemental. Cut to the chase, even tho I dont blog much, I have recevied so much negative feedback simply based on the past few comments I have made to other ladies logs. DAYUM...I have ZERO tolerance these days for negativity. No time for the rude emails, dopey 'innuendos' or crap like that. My life has been so positive these past few months and I need to keep it that way.
Im going to stick with my great established gents...1 or 2 a week is all I need!!!
That said, Im gonna keep to myself..keep my comments to myself. I am active on a couple of boards where I am VERY well received. That's where I'm gonna hang my hat, and stay there. I will stay with those who are NOT judgemental, where there are more 'open minded folks'. It's been a great time here, but when the negativity starts trying to drag ME down, it's time to back off...
Have a great weekend everyone...the nicer weather is here and Im gonna take full advantage of the beacj thats right across the street! A nice walk on the beach for an hour a day might be just what the doctor ordered!!!!!
